This blog is the site reserved for periodic commentary for No Strings Attached Ministries, an organization on a mission to bring critical transformation in thought and corresponding lifestyle in the sphere of politics and public discourse. The primary objective is to move the Christian to conform to the wisdom of God’s Word and to operate in the freedom and power of God’s kingdom without consideration of one’s political points of view or label.
So what is NSA21? It’s merely the moniker that represents the thinking that Christians in the 21st Century must have a commitment to live according to the dictates of 1 Timothy 2:1-6 without any strings attached. Of course, we are to live by every word that proceeds from the Mouth of God, but as a matter of practice, the admonition Apostle Paul gave to his young disciple Timothy, is one that is foundational and effective in changing the world. It is represents the functional outworking of the Golden Rule.
1 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. 5 For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. 6 He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.
This blog has three primary objectives. They are:
1. Present the clear and unambiguous message that there is a dramatic difference in being a citizen of God’s Kingdom and that of the World. There are clear biblical models provided for living honest and effective Christian lives in the midst of a scornful and cynical world and Christians need to understand the pitfalls that often undermine their witness and relationship with others and even their Savior.
2. Give guidance and encouragement to affect proactive practical evangelism and influence in the spheres of local and national politics and cultural discourse.
3. Encourage the growth of a movement of Christian Anarchy. For more on this read Greg Boyd’s essay, “The Bible, Government and Christian Anarchy”
